Our goal of the day is to plunge this here Thundercats Sword in a giant boulder. King Arthur style.

The park ranger doesn't think that's a good idea. Apparently anything over 3 inches is considered a weapon. I try to convince him it's just a big butter knife, but he finds out otherwise when he asks Boman to unsheath this beast.

So the quest continues.

After driving around for a while, we find something that might work.

Loose rocks and cactus spice things up.

An arduous 45 degree incline meant only for goats and snakes.

Just as Heather begins to second guess this entire mission, we spot the perfect boulder.

Into the light.

Cue Thundercats theme song.

Moments before the final plunge.

Scadoosh!

Boman puts all his weight into this one.

Heather gives it some extra elbow grease.

It's going to take the power of 12 men (or two guys and a lady) to lift this butter knife out of the ground. But if you come across it while collecting minerals outside of Boulder, send us a photo of it and we'll mail you the sheath.

Otherwise, we're coming back here when we're 80 to feel the power one more time.

The hike back down isn't nearly as bad if you don't look down.

Heather didn't look down at all and ended up putting her hand in a cactus. Ouch.

She decides to slide down the rest of the cliff on her butt, but we're in no hurry.

Our quest was a complete success and can be compared to running a marathon.

Even winning a marathon.

The road trip continues onward to South Dakota.

We find a place called Carhenge in the middle of Nowhere, Nebraska.

A moonlit adaptation of Stonehenge. Pretty cool.

Actually, it was pretty freezing.

So we had to entertain ourselves while Hasselhoff was doing seven minute exposures.
