DAY TWENTY-EIGHT - Salt Lake City

There's only one thing you need to see in Salt Lake City and that's Bingham Canyon Copper Mine - the world's largest man-made hole in the ground.

For $5, you can drive to the top to watch the action unfold.

As of 2004, ore from the mountain produced more than 17 million tons of copper, 715 tons of gold, and 5,900 tons of silver. The rapper community is particularly fond of this hole.

Each truck can carry 250-350 tons of ore.

Boman counts 18 trucks from our vantage point.

The "Oh-My-God-My-Head's-About-to-Explode!" face.

We vote this the perfect place to bring a young boy.

The Visitor's Center and Museum are both really well done. We buy some quality minerals for cheap from the Gift Shop.

Salt Lake City is a cookie-cutter, Edward Scissorhands kinda city.

Future neighborhood.

Some impressive wind turbines at Gomex Pit outside of the city.

The drive to Moab is amazing despite our car acting a fool. It starts shaking anytime we go up a hill or over 65 mph. Not good.

We make a few stops along the road to give the car a break and to soak up the scenery.

Smells like a casino.

As we get closer to Moab, we see some crazy abnormal sky conditions.

Turquoise hillside.

We stop at another mineral store on the edge of town that's filled with affordable dino bones and rare fossills.

And some interesting taxidermy.

We walk outside to craziest sunset I've ever seen.
