DAY FOURTEEN - Grand Canyon Drive

We had to eat some green chile before we left Santa Fe, so we go to Maria's to eat our only meal for the day.

Electric boxes from around the city.

Some of these ancient pueblos date back to the late 1900s.

We leave the Land of Enchantment to the Land of Dust Storms.

I don't think this town was on the map.

Shut-eye.

Open-eye.

We make a stop at Gallup, NM - the "Indian Capital of the World." We arrive later in the day, so all of the shops are closed. These are the only Indians we meet, so we gallup through town.

We decide to make a last minute detour to Monument Valley. The moon decides to take it's time coming up after the sun goes down, so finding the monuments turns into a giant Easter egg hunt. I decide to shoot film.

"What do you mean you lost the map?!"
